“Okay, even if you don’t open this book, you will get your money’s worth… it’s a 480-page behemoth that would make a killer paper weight. Or you could spice up your body-weight exercises- maybe 1-handed pushups with the book on your back? Or if you are traveling, it could be your in-a-pinch squatty potty… But in all seriousness, folks, here’s the best #lifehack you will hear today- OPEN THIS BOOK. This is the new bible of all things fitness. The amount of useful, cutting-edge content and resources is mind-blowing. It’s a must-have for anyone remotely interested in getting in shape, losing weight, gaining strength, increasing endurance, recovering faster, or simply becoming an even more bad-ass athlete than you already are. Plus this delves even deeper than just fitness- it covers health, wellness, mind and body. It’s a game-changer, friends. Pick up this bad-boy, do 3 sets of bicep curls with it, then crack it open and get ready to become a better version of yourself.”

“There is no more detailed and comprehensive book on the market for those looking to optimize their lives. Ben takes all, and I mean all, of the topics that are important to getting not just more out of training and exercise, but life as well. His exuberance and commitment are felt from page one. Great book.”

“I’ve been about health and fitness for the past 15 years and have been a professional in the industry for 6 years. I’ve worked as a personal trainer, strength & conditioning coach, nutrition coach and now Holistic Life Coach both in London & LA. I’ve been a Men’s Fitness model and have worked with many clients including an NFL team. I’m always interested in learning more about health and fitness to improve my life and others.

I came across Ben Greenfield’s podcast about 9 months ago and I can honestly say that his podcasts have dramatically increased my knowledge about health and fitness. Due to implementing Ben’s advice, I now sleep WAY better, don’t get back pains anymore, have better sex and much more.

It was a no-brainer to get his (I pre-ordered it) and it’s great! It’s almost all of his knowledge crammed into a book. It’s essentially a health & fitness bible.

Whether you’re a serious athlete or just want to improve your health GET THIS BOOK! You will not regret it!

Peace & Love :-)”

“I was lucky enough to get an advance copy of Beyond Training. This book is chock full of tips, techniques and down right cutting edge science that anyone can utilize to improve their total body health. Ben is outstanding in providing incredibly useful content and making it easy to understand. I’ve been disappointed by so many different health and wellness books just regurgitating the same information. When I read this book I was blown away by all of the new information.

If you haven’t read or studied Ben’s work, you are really missing out. Buy this book today and also spend time listening to his podcasts at BenGreenfieldFitness.com I listen to them on my commute and constantly get new tips and techniques.

Great work, Ben!”

“This book is full of so much information about food, fitness, and general health and I am thrilled I purchased it. The author gives fantastic attention to detail about many different to topics from A-Z.  While it is packed with info, the author does it without sounding “preachy”.  Excellent summaries per chapter, this book is almost like an encyclopedia on health!  Not meant for the novice, it is the serious athlete who will take away the most here, but it is also easy enough for beginners to comprehend.  It is very comprehensive and I can see using this as a resource in the future as well.”

“Beyond Training is like a 4-star buffet of evidence-based fitness information: from improving endurance to reducing stress to increasing strength to enhancing cognitive function, it’s all here, and it’s all backed by sound scientific research. And best of all, Ben is the real deal: he doesn’t just talk the talk, he walks the walk. This isn’t a book of abstract ‘what-if’ theory–it’s full of practical, no-BS tips for optimizing performance, health, and overall well-being.”

“This is a very well done and thought-out book from someone that I hold to the utmost respect when it comes to their knowledge of fitness, health, nutrition, and training.

What you’ll find with Beyond Training is a book that is incredibly easy to follow and comprehend. Unlike Lore of Running, it avoids much of the heavy terminology that most amateur athletes lack real knowledge of.

The absolute best thing about the book is how incredibly simple it is to take in.”

Beyond Training is the culmination of the work Greenfield has done over the years and I am grateful he took the time to bring all the information together in one place. A lot of what he discusses is pretty cutting edge stuff, for sure. Which I find very compelling, but also a bit overwhelming. Some of it a bit over the edge for me. But that’s OK. I would much rather read about what is considered to be “cutting edge” or “far out there” than the same old blah, blah blah you get just about anywhere else. Health and fitness is a personal journey. In that journey we all need to make choices that fit our needs, our lifestyle. Greenfield’s research gives you choices. It has a place on my bookshelf, and it should have a place on yours as well.

I just wanted to send along a quick thank you for the huge role you played in helping me reach my fitness and nutrition goals this year.

Last year, I ran my first Half Ironman triathlon, following a very conventional approach. I was spending up to 15 hours per week training, and when the day came for the race it was almost a relief that that it was over. The race did not go well and although I love triathlon, I was not feeling great about the experience.

I was then referred to your book Beyond Training. Thanks to your advice, I was able to make two major changes. The first was to my diet, as myself and my family have adopted a more ancestral approach to our eating using the cyclic ketosis/carbohydrate backloading approach you recommend often in your podcasts. This has totally changed the way we approach food – not to mention my body shape has completely changed and my 64 year old mom, curious about this “high fat stuff” has adopted this approach as well and looks fantastic!

The second was following the Ancestral Training Plan that you included with your book (thanks for that by the way!). I’ve cut my training time by over a third and am really, truly beginning to feel like a complete athlete, rather than someone who trains for triathlons. This plan has allowed me to spend more time with my family and friends, while putting an emphasis on making sure that when I am training that I am focused on crushing each session, instead of “putting in the miles”.

Yesterday, I ran another Half Ironman distance race and I felt energized and excited going into the event, rather than exhausted. I had a great time and cut my previous personal best by almost an hour.

I know people who are introduced to a more minimalist approach to training might be skeptical, but I am glad to say that this approach is not only effective on race day, but from a holistic standpoint, it prepares your body for any physical challenge without exhausting yourself mentally.

Once again Ben, I would like to sincerely thank you for helping me reach my personal health and fitness goals this year. I look forward to continuing to listen to your podcasts and reading the insightful articles I find on your website.

All the best to you and your family for a great summer.

Mike
